Recent French Chic posts on the subject of tea reminded me that it's been a long time since I brewed a pot.
I received a housewarming gift of Mariage Frères Earl Grey Silver Tips tea; I love design of the tin--black enamel with a creamy yellow Mariage Frères label that probably hasn't changed since the late 1800s.
I'm thinking that this would be a perfect weekend to enjoy a pot of tea.
Bon week-end!

Yes, it is so cold...tea, a blanket and a book would be great!
ReplyDeleteWe bought that tea recently, because we're huge earl grey drinkers. I found it slightly floral, which means it's been relegated to an afternoon tea rather than something to warm the bones later at night.
ReplyDeleteI think tea is a great way to really relax in the evenings....it's soothing.
I think even the most far-gone coffee addicts would have to switch to a life of tea instantly upon stepping inside the Mariage Frères store on rue du Bourg-Tibourg in the Marais. That scent!!! One of the best fragrances I've ever encountered, and they've captured that mix of tea and panelled wood in their "Thé des Pluies" candle. Worth the splurge. (Yes, and the teas themselves are marvelous, too.)
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend,
Michael

ReplyDeleteI drank tea while in Paris the whole time (I think I had one cup of coffee). I collect tins and would love that black one!
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a nice day.
