French interiors

I had planned a different post for today, but a recent thread on the FC group about authentic French interiors changed my mind.

My sister is always sending me links to stories, blogs, and sites that she thinks are a good fit for my blog. This morning she sent me a link to an archived post on design*sponge. Here you'll see Carol Neiley's renovated farmhouse outside of Lyon.

You may not know Carol Neiley's name, but you may be familiar with her store, basic french, an online shop that sells authentic French housewares, linens, toiletries, and other French goodies.

Do you have any favorite sites for French interiors?

  1. I don't have any favorite French websites for interiors, but I do love to get housewares from Anthropologie. In one of the photos, it looks like Carol's got some of their large latte bowls. I love them.

(Anthro's clothes are a disaster on me, but I covet all of their tableware, linens, and other kitchen/dining room goods.)

  2. Hello and thank you so much for writing up my house in les monts du lyonnais (which is for rent by the week through vrbo.com.) I wanted to send you a link to another design*sponge post of my apartment in Lyon. Grace has been so good to me. http://www.designspongeonline.com/2008/04/sneak-peek-carol-of-basic-french-the-lyon-hideaway.html

I also wanted to offer your readers a 20% discount on their first order with www.basicfrenchonline.com. We love to get new customers who are real francophiles, so please feel free to try out some of our products and take advantage of the merchandise discount. Just mention My French Corner in the Comments section of your order.

Just a few of my favorite French decoration sites:

  3. I agree. Anthropologie could become a strictly housewares store and I would be a happy, happy girl. I've bought a lot of housewares here, but I don't think I've ever purchased a single item of their clothing.
